Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour involving female individuals.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, encompassing a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
