The team did not mention Rice by name in their announcement and noted they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who also did not mention the athlete by name, posted a series of photos on Instagram that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She did say the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has kids with Rice, whom the team drafted in the second round.

Rice's Recent Legal Issues
Rice missed the initial part of this season due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a crash on a Texas roadway that left multiple people injured. He was given a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to felony charges.
Statistically, Rice concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
