American-Palestinian Youth Freed Following 270 Days in Israeli Detention

A Palestinian-American youth having endured a nine-month period in Israeli detention without charge has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting while residing in Florida for allegedly throwing stones at Jewish settlers, allegations he repeatedly contested.

United States authorities applauded the news of Mohammed's release.

Currently aged sixteen, needed medical care upon gaining freedom, relatives told the media.

According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, family spokesperson spoke of the family's "tremendous relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"At this moment, our priority is providing Mohammed with prompt healthcare he requires following exposure to Israel's abuse and cruel circumstances for months."

The state department stated they would maintain to extend consular services to the teenager's relatives.

{"The Trump Administration has no higher priority to ensuring the safety of US citizens"," officials stated.

Several congressional representatives had signed a letter to the state department and the administration, requesting additional efforts to release him.

Mohammed's parent, with four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones after being assaulted by soldiers.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since February, and only heard regarding the treatment through judicial records.

The teenager remained lacking indictment within Ofer penitentiary throughout the occupied territory.

The facility also contains mature inmates, featuring prisoners sentenced regarding severe security violations and murder.

An estimated 350 Palestinian child security detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Several lack formal charges while advocacy organizations, and international organizations, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.

Following Mohammed's release, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative Sayfollah Musallet.

This young American-Palestinian per medical officials succumbed to assault by radical settlers following tensions during summer.

At the time, defense forces stated they were examining information regarding a civilian had died.

Mohammed and Sayfollah collaborated in the family ice cream shop from Tampa.

No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.

"We anticipate the American government to protect our families," family representatives emphasized.
